Decorate your boat (sail or power, large or small, private or commercial) and dress up your crew. It's tremendous fun for every participant and creates memories that last a lifetime.

Your theme and how you decorate your boat is up to you. Plus you can utilise any "props" you wish, from lights to music to characters to high-technology.

Grand Prize: Round Trip Airline Ticket for Two to the US Plus more than 25 other prizes! The best boats in ten categories will win prizes at the post-cruise party for all participants at the RBYC.

Entry is free, so reserve your berth now by submitting the online form. To be eligible for any awards, your boat must be registered before NOON on December 7th, 2011.

Rules
The parade will begin at 6:30pm SHARP on Saturday December 10th, 2011. The raindates for the parade will Sunday December 11th with alternate raindate for Sunday December 18th.
  • Parade speed will be 4mph. A good distance to travel is 100 ft from shoreline.
  • Allow enough distance between boats to make an emergency stop.
  • Run the entire Parade route. Those entrants who drop out early will be disqualified from judging.
  • Monitor Channel 72, the official Parade frequency. Non-emergency Parade instructions will be communicated on this frequency.
  • Parade registration numbers must be displayed on the Port and Stern of each boat. For safety and courtesy considerations, use of spotlights is prohibited except for navigational purposes.
  • Decorative lights shall not be displayed while outside the parade route.
  • There will be lit markers at key turning points (see map).
  • There will be Parade Marshalls and Control Boats along the parade route. If hailed, please conform with their instructions.
  • In the event of bad weather, the parade may be postponed. The organising committee will make a decision by 4pm on Wednesday the 9th. Please call the boat parade hotline after 4:00pm 236-2247 for a decision.
  • A MANDATORY skipper's meeting is schelduled for WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 7TH at 6:00pm SHARP at the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club. If you can't attend, you MUST send a representative.
The RBYC will not be responsible for boats left at their dock overnight.
